Eyes Set To Kill - Broken Frames

С пускането на дългоочаквания им трети албум, всеки гледа Eyes Set To Kill. Eyes Set To Kill really has come a long way over the years. While the band's past two releases didn't leave enough of an impact, Broken Frames has come to change that. The album has really sharpened the weapons this group wields. Each vocalist has also improved since The World Outside, and the band's writing has matured in every way. For example, the lyrics of Broken Frames thouch in some heavy subjects, including faith, faiure, self-loathing, and more. The opening track, "All You Ever Knew", builds quickly from the start and deals with fate and its pitfalls. This style of song is used most with Eyes Set To Kill, so if it's not your forte, you should probablylook elsewhere. However, "Ticking Bombs" and "Ryan" are both hauntingly emotional tracks, showing that the band does have the chops to expand upon their formula. While these slower pieces do well in breaking up the pacing of the album, they aren't any matches for the hard-hitting tracks this band thrives on. "Inside the Eye" and "Broken Frames" are such examples, while "The Listening" and "Two Letter Sins" are more involved and interestingly written. Broken Frames may still not be the definitive release for the band, but it is certainly a move in the right direction. If Eyes Set To Kill continues to explore their sound, then they could very well make this scene theith bitch.
