some hide behind real walls,
wooden,
stone,
or iron,

most have their private walls,
their inner walls
around their souls,

around our souls,

walls that we build
to hide ourselves,
to hide our things,

all that builds us
as who we are,

all that builds our souls,

everything we think we are,
everything we think we know,

oblivious,
or rather,
choosing to forget,
choosing not to think

about the day the storm will come,

for one day it will come
for all of us,

for all of us,
for all of you,

to sweep away that inner wall
you have inside of you -

for me it came
and went away,

and I've build my walls anew.
